“Letting Go”
What do I think of when I hear the words ‘letting go’?
I think of a person finally moving on from a past relationship.
I think of people getting over their shit.
I think of spiritual growth.
That is the ticket.
Spiritual growth can be very painful. We want to hold onto people, places, and things that keep us grounded. That seem to keep us safe.
Sometimes we must let go of old thoughts and people so that we can move forward. Reiki can help us do that. It is the energy that is needed to process spiritual information that we receive from Source. Reiki helps people move the energy/information, provided by Source, through our Chakras in a healthy way. It can aid us in the process of getting rid of old habits, bad thoughts, and stuck energy. It can refill our empty vessel with such vibrant colors that we feel light and airy.
What happens after a Reiki session?
Do we still process information in the same way?
We can, but some people chose not to. Some people wish to hold onto grief and pain. They want to carry it around and point it out to people that they meet on the street. Letting go of things can be a painful process that requires us to give up on dreams.
I always advise my students, and clients, that we were born to grow and evolve. I usually ask them, “What happens to water when it is stagnant? It gets dirty and starts to stink.”
I believe it happens to energy as well. When energy sits in a certain part of our body and it is not moving and flowing, then it starts to stink and smell (figuratively). It starts to cause pain and dis-ease. It begins to embed itself into our spiritual body. We start to notice discomfort in the area where the energy is sitting, squatting, and taking shelter.
Maybe we should look at that stagnant energy as a squatter. Maybe we should associate that stagnant energy as our self. We sometimes are squatters within our own spiritual temple. We start to cover up the much-needed holy texts, and artifacts, within our inner temple with secrets and expectations. We start to create clutter where clutter should not be manifested. We want to look busy within our spiritual temple so that Source will look at us and state, “You are advancing my sweet child.”
How funny that we try to deceive that Great and omnipotent Spirit.
How funny that we try to deceive our own spirit.
By letting go of that which is holding you back, we learn to see that we are worthy of good. We learn to see that we are awesome. We learn to see that everything does work out in our favor.
By letting go of all the pain and hurt within us, we allow Source to provide the energy that is needed to aid us on our spiritual journey. I think that Reiki is here to help us process that wonderful energy provided by Source. I think that Reiki is here to aid us in moving that stagnant energy and creating an open channel within our energy system.
I would have to associate the act of letting go with the Devil card in a Tarot deck. We are the keeper of the key to unlock the chains holding us down. We can easily slip off the restraints and move forward. We can cut the cord to the item that stops us in our tracks.
I would have to, in turn, associate Reiki with the Tower card. It may not be as destructive as the Tower card usually is but Reiki can break through all the crap within our energy body and bring us back to the beginning. We all must return to the beginning to start over again. We all must hit the reset button, let go of the past, and begin again.
Until next time.
Blessed Be.
